Resumo: This paper aims to explore the dimension of Brazil and India relationship, since the ties between these countries are not obvious and bilateral relations are generally under-exploited in academic and political circles, largely because they were not much relevant until recently. To this end, we use the concepts of medium power and foreign policy paradigm to facilitate the understanding of the characteristics of these countries, as well as the perspectives of their relationship given the currentBrazilian political context. Thus, the article is divided into: understanding the evolution of politics between Brazil and India; describing their bilateral relationship; describing their multilateral relations; and finally, considerations about the relationship and its perspectives are presented.

Para tanto, utilizam-se os conceitos de potência média e de paradigma em política externa para facilitar o entendimento das características destes países, assim como as perspectivas de seu relacionamento dado o atual contexto político brasileiro.
