Resumo: The American Political Economy proposes a new field of study focused on how US domestic institutions interact with market forces to produce long-term patterns of economic governance that privilege some agents over others. Besides contributions from the editors themselves, 13 chapters from top scholars from the USA, England and Germany explore specific issues such as racial relations, corporate power concentration, and the US post-industrial knowledge-based economy.
