Mythology and literature have always walked side by side, both allowing man to connect with nature and to produce meanings and meanings for his existence. Scholars of sociology, philosophy, anthropology and asychology study the importance of these narratives in the various existing cultures, to do even mode and ever more frequently the studies on the processes of updating the myths in contemporary literature, considering an immensity of heroic narratives that were being popularized in the last decades. It is believed that many writers nowadays build his histories from an archetypal model based on mythical narratives. betting on this idea, this work was proposed to study as mythical structures behind the brazilian work titled Fios de Prata: Reconstruindo Sandman [Silver Wire: Rebuilding Sandman] (2012), by Raphael Draccon. In order to fulfill this objective, they were used as freud-lacanian contributions on the malaise, as contributions of Jung and Campbell to think about mythology and archetypes of a contemporary literary culture based. Also a redemption was made to Neil Gaiman and to his mythical construction of the inhabitants of the dream world, about Sandman worked by him in his HQs, once the Raphael Draccon used himself to make Gaiman's universe to create his history. atraves from this palimpsest e possible to recognize several mythical narratives, but, among all, one that acts as ser mythicus, or be, as the pillar for history and the greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.
