Viajante literário: uma proposta de prática de leitura nas cenas do cinema e da literatura

One of the greatest and most audasious challenges of the school is to provide learners with moments that can awaken their desire for reading, affection for the book and desire for discovery. Therefore, this research proposes to investigate the formative process of the literary reader by means of the relationship between the cinematographic text and the literary text, observing its constituent elements. The proposed reading activities were developed in a class of the 9th grade elementary school of a public school system, with students with little or no spontaneous contact with literary text. This work was based on several theoretical studies among which we highlight: from the perspective of semiotic analysis and the concept of immersive reader of Santaella (2012); in the relation of Kleiman's interactional model (2008); in Cosson's reading and literacy literacy practices (2012); in the relation between cinema and literature of Stam (2008) and Figueiredo (2010). For this study, we start from the hypothesis that the relation between literature and cinema can bring the student closer to the literary text by means of the construction of visual references and analysis of the different narrative possibilities proper to the literary and cinematographic languages. Among the methodological procedures of this action research, the intervention proposal was executed in three stages entitled “Movie Room”, “Book Club” and “Première”. Reading activities took place with Tim Burton's (2016) feature The Children's Home, and the novel The Missing Children's Orphanage, Peregrine for peculiar children, written by Ransom Riggs (2012). We conclude that the practice of reading the cinematographic text as a starting point for reading the literary text made it possible to develop reading skills and to bring readers closer to the literary universe, so that the mediated reading of the texts can contribute to the development of reading, the critical sense, the power of perception and greater aesthetic sensibility.
