High School occupations in Southern Brazil: problematizing the production of young subjectivities in the midst of political action

Resumo: We analyzed, in this paper, how High School occupations (May and June 2016) in Brazil, more specifically in the city of Rio Grande, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, could produce mutations in the student subjectivities involved. Its empirical corpus consists of a discursive outburst about High School occupations in Brazil and students’ statements who occupied their schools in Rio Grande. The Foucaultian problematization was used as a theoretical-methodological contribution. As a result, we found the emergence and updating of a slogan of truth about a revolutionary youth that goes to the fight, which acts on the occupying student subjectivities, as well as we noticed signs of adult-centered becomings in an youth experienced with the occupations, in which marks attributed to the adult subject are metamorphosed with the senses attributed to the young as effects of the involvement with the political action at stake.   Keywords: Occupation. Youth.Analizamos, en este artículo, cómo las ocupaciones secundarias (mayo y junio de 2016), en Brasil, más específicamente en la ciudad de Rio Grande, en Rio Grande do Sul, pudieron producir mutaciones en las subjetividades estudiantiles involucradas. Su corpus empírico compone dichos de una explosión discursiva sobre las ocupaciones secundaristas en Brasil y hablas de estudiantes que ocuparon sus escuelas en Rio Grande. La problematización foucaultiana fue utilizada como aporte teórico-metodológico. Como resultados, encontramos la emergencia y la actualización de un slogan de verdad sobre una juventud revolucionaria que va a la lucha, la cual actúa sobre las subjetividades estudiantiles ocupantes, así como, notamos indicios de devenires adultocéntricos en una juventud experimentada con las ocupaciones, en qué marcas atribuidas al sujeto adulto se metamorfosean junto a los sentidos atribuidos a los jóvenes como efectos del envolvimiento con la acción política en juego.   Palabras clave: Ocupación. Jóvenes.Analisamos, neste artigo, como as ocupações secundaristas (maio e junho de 2016), no Brasil, mais especificamente na cidade de Rio Grande, no Rio Grande do Sul, puderam produzir mutações nas subjetividades estudantis envolvidas. O seu corpus empírico compõe ditos de uma explosão discursiva sobre as ocupações secundaristas no Brasil e falas de estudantes que ocuparam suas escolas em Rio Grande. A problematização foucaultiana foi usada como aporte teórico-metodológico. Como resultados, encontramos a emergência e a atualização de um slogan de verdade sobre uma juventude revolucionária que vai à luta, a qual atua sobre as subjetividades estudantis ocupantes, bem como notamos indícios de devires adultocêntricos em uma juventude experimentada com as ocupações, em que marcas atribuídas ao sujeito adulto se metamorfoseiam junto aos sentidos atribuídos aos jovens como efeitos do envolvimento com a ação política em jogo.   Palavras-chave: Ocupação.
