Resumo: This article explores, on the one hand, the features of secondary school particular organization as we know until now. That particular shape included some characteristics and its particular configuration became a grammatic as the idea of secondary education itself. On the other hand, the article focuses on a sort of crisis about some aspects of that grammatic. Thus, it briefly presents two new modalities as examples of institutions (Escuelas de Reingreso and Escuelas de  Familia Agrícola) discussing that hegemonic configuration.   Keywords: Secondary school history. Ese formato se incluyó rasgos específicos y esa construcción se consolidó como una gramática que logró posicionarse como la noción misma de escuela media. En segundo lugar,  el artículo pone el acento en que algunos componentes centrales del  formato se encuentran manifiestamente puestos en discusión. Para ello,  reseñamos dos nuevas modalidades (Escuelas de Reingreso e Escuelas de  Familia Agrícola) como ejemplo de organizaciones institucionales  distintas que - nos parece - ponen en discusión algunos elementos  centrales de la forma escolar hegemónica.
