Dialogues with Paulo Freire: unity in diversity, intersectionality and equality of differences

Resumo: This article is based on bibliographical research to bring together the concepts of unity in diversity, equality of differences and intersectionality through a critical communicative analysis that points out paths for transformation, with the objective of greater educational quality for all people. The intention in the context of ethnic and racial relations in Brazil was to present educational differences that have been transformed into inequalities over the years, and, from such data, point out possibilities for change through anti-racist education. It was concluded that the categories of class, race and gender, when analyzed intersectionally, on the one hand, open paths for an educational action based on differences and their interrelationship, and, on the other hand, bring the possibility of changing the educational context as identities, cultures, ways of being are understood in their unity, with the intention of living them in equality. Equality of differences.  Este artículo busca, a partir de la investigación bibliográfica, aproximar los conceptos de unidad en la diversidad, igualdad de diferencias e interseccionalidad por medio del análisis crítico comunicativo que señala caminos para la transformación, con el objetivo de una mayor calidad educativa para todas las personas. Se pretendió, en el ámbito de las relaciones étnico-raciales en Brasil, presentar las diferencias educativas que se van transformando en desigualdades a lo largo de los años. Y a partir de estos datos, señalar las posibilidades de cambio por medio de una educación antirracista. Se concluyó que, las categorías de clase, raza y género, cuando se analizan interseccionalmente, por un lado, abren caminos para una acción educativa partiendo de las diferencias y de su interrelación, y por otro, brindan la posibilidad de cambio del contexto educativo a medida en que las identidades, las culturas, y las formas de ser y de estar, son comprendidos en su unidad, con la intención de vivirlos en igualdad. Igualdad de diferencias.O presente artigo busca, a partir de pesquisa bibliográfica, aproximar os conceitos de unidade na diversidade, igualdade de diferenças e interseccionalidade por meio da análise crítica comunicativa que aponta caminhos para a transformação, com o objetivo de maior qualidade educativa para todas as pessoas. Pretendeu-se, no âmbito das relações étnico-raciais no Brasil, apresentar as diferenças educacionais que vão se transformando em desigualdades ao longo dos anos e, a partir de tais dados, apontar possibilidades de mudança por meio de uma educação antirracista. Concluiu-se que as categorias de classe, raça e gênero, ao serem analisadas interseccionalmente, por um lado, abrem caminhos para uma ação educativa partindo das diferenças e da sua interrelação, e, por outro, trazem a possibilidade de mudança do contexto educativo na medida em que as identidades, as culturas e os modos de ser e de estar são compreendidos na sua unidade, com a intenção de vivê-los na igualdade.
