Ethical action in education research from the historical and dialectical materialism perspective

Resumo: This paper aims to present a debate on ethics in education research from the assumption that the area of Human and Social Sciences requires its own ethical guidelines and norms, surpassing the deontological model that transposes the parameters of the medical area to various research fields. The theoretical framework is the historical and dialectical materialism from the understanding that consciousness, ethical values, knowledge, and science are related to historical, economic, political, and social determinations. In this sense, the results of this investigation support the argument that it is fundamental to think about the ethical dimension in the research process and its relationship with political and epistemological issues, as criticism and overcoming abstract principles and bureaucratic procedures present in ethics protocols in education research. Historical and dialectical materialism.Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar un debate sobre la ética en investigación en educación a partir de la suposición de que el área de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales necesita directrices y normas éticas propias, superando el modelo deontológico que transpone parámetros del área médica para las diversas áreas de investigación. El marco teórico es el materialismo histórico-dialéctico que parte del entendimiento de que la conciencia, los valores éticos, el conocimiento y la ciencia están relacionados a las determinaciones históricas, económicas, políticas y sociales. En este sentido, los resultados de esta investigación corroboran la defensa del argumento de que es fundamental pensar en la dimensión ética en el proceso de investigación y su relación con las dimensiones políticas y epistemológicas, como crítica y superación de principios abstractos y procedimientos burocráticos presentes en los protocolos de ética en investigación en educación. Materialismo histórico-dialéctico.Este artigo objetiva apresentar um debate sobre a ética em pesquisa em educação partindo do pressuposto de que a área de Ciências Humanas e Sociais necessita de diretrizes e normas éticas próprias, superando o modelo deontológico que transpõe parâmetros da área médica para os diversos campos de pesquisa. O referencial teórico é o materialismo histórico-dialético, que parte do entendimento de que a consciência, os valores éticos, o conhecimento e a ciência estão relacionados às determinações históricas, econômicas, políticas e sociais. Nesse sentido, os resultados desta investigação corroboram a defesa do argumento de que é fundamental pensar a dimensão ética no processo de pesquisa e sua relação com as questões políticas e epistemológicas, como crítica e superação de princípios abstratos e procedimentos burocráticos presentes nos protocolos de ética em pesquisa em educação.
