Resumo: This text aims to bring a synthesis of A arte da biografia (2022), by journalist and biographer Lira Neto. The intention was also to contextualize the scenario of the biographical publishing market, as well as to reflect on the contribution of the analyzed work to journalistic studies. Although not a pioneer, A arte da biografia reveals the paths of investigation, discusses ethical limits and clarifies the reasons that motivate the choice of protagonists by the professional biographer.
