Resumo: This article aims to understand the journalistic processes of coverage of the Covid-19 pandemic by Jornal Nacional and Jornal da Record from 18 January to 15 May 2020, directing journalistic attention to monothematic coverage about the pandemic and the new coronavirus. It considered that since the onset of the disease and its related consequences, journalists' attentions have been divided into three political crises generated by the Brazilian federal government: 1) the dismissal of former Health Minister Luiz Henrique Mandetta; 2) the resignation of ex-minister Sergio Moro of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security and; 3) the resignation of former Health Minister Nelson Teich. As a research method, we initially sought to use exploratory research, with the analysis of the JN and JR editions from January 18 to May 15, 2020, in order to verify the extent to which the health crisis and the political crisis overlapped and became a public health political crisis.

Se considera que desde el inicio de la enfermedad, y sus consecuencias, la atención de los periodistas se ha dividido en tres crisis políticas generadas por el gobierno federal: 1) la destitución del exministro de Salud Luiz Henrique Mandetta; 2) la renuncia del exministro Sérgio Moro del Ministerio de Justicia y Seguridad Pública; y 3) la renuncia del exministro de Salud Nelson Teich. Como método de investigación, se intentó utilizar técnicas bibliográficas, exploratorias y de Análisis de Contenido (AC), a partir de los informes, con el fin de verificar cómo las crisis de salud y política se entremezclaron y se convirtieron en crisis política.     Este artigo tem como objetivo compreender os processos jornalísticos da cobertura da pandemia da Covid-19 pelo Jornal Nacional da TV Globo e no Jornal da Record da TV Record, de 18 janeiro a 15 de maio de 2020, direcionando a atenção jornalística para uma cobertura monotemática acerca da pandemia e do novo coronavírus. Considera-se que desde o surgimento da doença, e suas consequências, as atenções dos jornalistas foram divididas em três crises políticas geradas pelo governo federal: 1) a demissão do ex-ministro da Saúde Luiz Henrique Mandetta; 2) o pedido de demissão do ex-ministro Sérgio Moro do Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública; e 3) o pedido de demissão do ex-ministro da Saúde Nelson Teich.
