The Teachers and the Education System in the City of Porto Velho: a history of absences Esse trabalho integra os estudos iniciados no Mestrado em História e Direitos Humanos, dando início a essa pesquisa, onde nos propomos a refletir sobre o papel exercido pelas mulheres educadoras no Sistema de Ensino do Município de Porto Velho. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa visa identificar e analisar as causas da sub-representação das mulheres educadoras, buscando ressaltar a necessidade de se implantar políticas públicas capazes de promover sua maior participação na gestão do sistema educacional. Ressalta-se a condição feminina na escola, onde mesmo como espaço de construção das relações sociais, esta apresenta as formas como a sociedade pensa, planeja e age no masculino, assim o discurso expresso tanto nas linguagens quanto no imaginário social, ainda tem como referência um mundo definido pelos homens.Palavras-chave: Educadoras, História das Mulheres,Sistema de Ensino.   AbastractThis work integrates the studies initiated in the Master's Degree in History and Human Rights, beginning a research in which we propose to reflect on the role played by women educators in the Education System of the Municipality of Porto Velho. In this sense, the research aims to identify and analyze the causes of under-representation of women educators, seeking to emphasize the need for implementing public policies to promote a higher participation of them in the management of the educational system. We emphasize the feminine condition in school, that even as a space for the construction of social relations, reproduces the ways society thinks, plans and acts according to the male point of view, so the discourse expressed both in speech and in social representations,still has as its reference a world defined by men.Keywords: Educators, Women's History, Education System.
