In the centenary year of Luiz Beltrão it is important to demarcate the territory of folkcommunication as a genuinely Brazilian theory and a growing area of communication research in Brazil, Latin America and Europe. It is also important to highlight the 20 years of institutionalization of the Folkcom Network, with researchers focused on the diffusion and strengthening of this discipline. In this sense, the article that follows brings a representative survey of the productions in books on Folkcommunication in the last 20 years. This material presents a categorization of the works and offers a possibility for the understanding of the researches in this period. To this end, the method, classifications and reflections made to the national research "Cartography of Folkcommunication: Analysis of Works 1998-2008", structured by Marques de Melo and brings the books produced up to 2018, have been taken over. As a result, it is evident that researchers and the productions have significantly extended the field, and that many theoretical-methodological advances are being demarcated to the discipline.
