Resumo: The article deals with the Brazilian rural development, your impacts to the peoples of the field and the persistence of an unjust agrarian structure. It was defined that “rural workers”, “peasants”, “family farmers” and “traditional communities” are diverse categories, but correlated when considered the common point that unites them, that is, the exploitation by agrarian elites supported in state apparatus. Methodologically, it is a critical analysis of the agrarian subject, through bibliographical revision, from the transformation origin’s of the land in merchandise (1850) to the neoliberal politics. The work concludes with the observation that the unjust agrarian structure in Brazil is not restricted only to political inability, but is due to a long history of uneven seizure of the wealth and the peoples of the land expulsion.
