Resumo: Environmental issues are a theme that can bring about countless reflections, mainly about the process of sustainable development for communities and cities. This article aims to understand, through a qualitative research, if the municipal laws of the city of Ponta Grossa (PR), related to the environment, fully cover the Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) important tools for the process of planning and executing activities in the city. It was used as a methodology the realization of interviews, field diary and studies of the legislation of the municipality, in which it was possible to list the main information for the analysis. The results showed that Ponta Grossa has made progress in recent years on these issues, even though there is still work to be done, mainly in relation to municipal legislation and the prevention of negative impacts on urban and community development.

Este artigo visa compreender, por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa, se as legislações municipais da cidade de Ponta Grossa (PR), relacionadas ao meio ambiente, abrangem, em sua íntegra, os Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), importantes ferramentas para o processo de planejamento e execução de atividades na cidade. Foi utilizado como metodologia a realização de entrevistas, diário de campo e estudos das legislações do município, em que foi possível elencar as principais informações para a análise.
