Resumo: This article aims to present an experience report that sought to reduce inequalities in access to reading through Literary Bookshelves, based on Pedagogy of Research Projects’ methodology, in a city in the interior of Bahia, especially for children and adolescents. In the development of this project, it was possible to perceive the involvement of five students of the engineering course since the first actions of the Community Library constitution. Thus, this library proved to be a sociopolitical instrument in the citizen development of the participants involved.

Thus, this library proved to be a sociopolitical instrument in the citizen development of the participants involved.Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar un relato de experiencia que buscó reducir las desigualdades en el acceso a la lectura a través de Estanterías Literarias, con base en la metodología de la Pedagogía de Proyectos de Investigación, en una ciudad del interior de Bahía, especialmente para niños y jóvenes. En el desarrollo de este proyecto, fue posible percibir el involucramiento de cinco estudiantes del curso de ingeniería desde las primeras acciones de constitución de la Biblioteca Comunitaria. Así, esta biblioteca demostró ser un instrumento sociopolítico en el desarrollo ciudadano de los participantes involucrados.Este artigo objetiva apresentar um relato de experiência que buscou diminuir as desigualdades no acesso à leitura por meio das Estantes Literárias, fundamentado na metodologia da Pedagogia de Projetos de Pesquisa, em uma cidade do interior da Bahia, especialmente para o público infanto-juvenil. No desenvolvimento desse projeto, foi possível perceber o envolvimento de cinco discentes do curso de engenharia desde as primeiras ações de constituição da Biblioteca Comunitária.
