Redistribution, recognition and representation in Honneth and Fraser: a debate behind the school space

Resumo: The text presented is a theoretical essay originated from an integrative literary review, which aims to make considerations from the writings of Honneth and Fraser about the categories redistribution, recognition and representation as cornerstones in the production of a society that effectively shares the ideals of equality and justice announced by modernity. Epistemologically linked to the Critical Theory filosofy, the present essay highlights the importance of working with such concepts as a fundamental component in the production of an environment that denounces arbitrariness and shapes social inclusion as a possible and not just desirable event in the most varied cultural dimensions. Furthermore, it outlines how educational spaces, especially schooled, can play a central role in promoting a society configured as fair by encompassing as an organic curricular principle, from the discussion of material and identity issues that cross our existence, going to the exercise of defense the presence of all representative publics in society in democratic power arenas.

Vinculado epistemológicamente al marco conceptual de la Teoría Crítica, el presente ensayo destaca la importancia de trabajar con tales conceptos como componente fundamental en la producción de un ambiente que denuncie la arbitrariedad y configure la inclusión social como un hecho posible y no sólo deseable en las más variadas dimensiones culturales. Además, plantea cómo los espacios educativos, especialmente los escolarizados, pueden jugar un papel central en la promoción de una sociedad configurada como justa al abarcar como principio orgánico curricular, desde la discusión de cuestiones materiales e identitarias que atraviesan nuestra existencia, pasando por el ejercicio de la defensa sobre la presencia de todos los públicos representativos de la sociedad en los espacios del poder democrático.O texto apresentado trata-se de ensaio teórico originado a partir de uma revisão literária integrativa, que objetiva tecer considerações a partir dos escritos de Honneth e Fraser acerca das categorias redistribuição, reconhecimento e representação como angulares na produção de uma sociedade que comungue efetivamente os ideais de igualdade e justiça anunciados pela modernidade. Vinculado epistemologicamente ao referencial da Teoria Crítica, o presente ensaio demarca a importância em se trabalhar com tais conceitos como componente fundamental na produção de um ambiente que denuncie arbitrariedades e plasme a inclusão social como evento possível e não apenas desejável nas mais variadas dimensões culturais.
