Social representations: educational management and pedagogical practices in the perspective of school managers in the municipality of Uberaba-MG

Resumo: The interest in researching “educational management and pedagogical practices”, assumes that the role of the manager represents an important educational activity. Thus, the problem is: how do managers think, characterize and enable the conditions for carrying out pedagogical practices in the schools in which they work? With a quanti-qualitative nature, with the subsidy of the Social Representations theory of Moscovici, this research aimed to understand the SR of Basic Education public school managers, about the pedagogical practices carried out by their teachers. 41 managers from 20 municipal and state schools participated. Data were collected through a questionnaire and the free word association technique, treated by the EVOC software. The results show that the SR of the participants about the pedagogical practices developed by their teachers are familiarized with elements that relate to a practice understood as an action that transforms and modifies the school context, but which necessarily needs to be innovative.

Así, el problema es: ¿cómo piensan, caracterizan y habilitan los directivos las condiciones para la realización de prácticas pedagógicas en las escuelas en las que trabajan? Con carácter cuanti-cualitativo, con el subsidio de la teoría de las Representaciones Sociales de Moscovici, esta investigación tuvo como objetivo comprender la RS de los gestores de escuelas públicas de Educación Básica, sobre las prácticas pedagógicas que realizan sus docentes. Participaron 41 gerentes de 20 escuelas municipales y estatales. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un cuestionario y la técnica de asociación libre de palabras, tratados por el software EVOC. Los resultados muestran que las RS de los participantes sobre las prácticas pedagógicas desarrolladas por sus docentes están familiarizadas con elementos que se relacionan con una práctica entendida como una acción que transforma y modifica el contexto escolar, pero que necesariamente necesita ser innovadora.O interesse em pesquisar a “gestão educacional e práticas pedagógicas”, parte do princípio de que o papel do gestor representa uma importante atividade educacional. Assim, configura-se como problema:  de que forma os gestores pensam, caracterizam e possibilitam as condições para a realização das práticas pedagógicas nas escolas em que atuam?  De natureza quanti-qualitativa, com o subsídio da teoria das Representações Sociais de Moscovici, esta pesquisa objetivou compreender as RS de gestores de escolas públicas de Educação Básica, sobre as práticas pedagógicas realizadas pelos seus professores. Participaram 41 gestores de 20 escolas municipais e estaduais. Os dados foram coletados por um questionário e a técnica de associação livre de palavras, tratadas pelo software EVOC.
