Resumo: The text proposes a new reading of the book Brazil, land of the future by Stefan Zweig, looking for the romantic idealization that many foreign travelers have always had of Brazil. In the case of Stefan Zweig, the most interesting discussion is his view of Rio’s carnival, which he describes fully idealized, having never seen it.
