Resumo: This work intends to research the paradox present in the words Philosophy and Childhood. Examined together in this way, the words may seem, for those who are not devoted to this subject, strangely incongruous. The first steps in addressing this combination managed to solve this paradoxical aspect and through the schooling of diverse contents, especially through procedural ones, assured the presence of Philosophy in childhood with a useful purpose. However, the paradox resisted domestication. Philosophy, which is linked to the occidental way of thinking, with a long history of meanings and interpretations and childhood, which on the other hand is so fresh and new in the art of thinking, placed side by side, managed to leak through a gap and challenged the most seductive strategies of domesticity, relating once more, the power of thinking with the force of paradox. Rescuing this sense will be done on the basis of a text from Roig (1998), and from the possibility of visiting “the middle region” characterized by Foucault ( 2008), in his preface to “The Words and the Things” . Roig’s text (1998) is entitled “The Pedagogic Methods and its a propósito de la infância y la filosofia... entre otras paradoxas Insertion in Life”. This book deals with the problem of the methods of learning and proposes to find a relationship in theory and practice in this field. Key words: philosophy; childhood; paradox; world; suspect

Postas assim, uma ao lado da outra, unidas por um encontro, manifestam, para quem não trabalha com o tema, uma surpreendente incongruência. Os primeiros passos no tratamento desse encontro conseguiram eludir o paradoxo e, através da escolarização de diversos conteúdos, em especial os procedimentais, foi garantida a presença da filosofia junto à infância com um senso utilitário. Contudo, o paradoxo resistiu à domesticação. A filosofia, tão cara ao pensamento ocidental, com uma história cheia de sentidos e interpretações, e a infância tão nova e recente nas preocupações do pensar, colocadas uma ao lado da outra, tornaram-se a aparecer por alguma fenda, desafiando as mais sedutoras estratégias de domesticação e incitando novamente o pensar com a força do paradoxal. Este resgate de sentido se fará sobre a base de um texto de Arturo A. Roig e pela possibilidade de visitar a “região média” caracterizada por Foucault (2008) no prefácio do livro As palavras e as coisas. O texto de Roig (1998) é intitulado “Os métodos pedagógicos e sua intercessão na vida”. Neste texto, ele aborda a problemática dos métodos no ensino e propõe a procura nesse âmbito de uma relação entre teoria e praxis. Puestas así, una al lado de la otra, unidas por una conjunción, resultan, para quién no se dedica al tema, de una extraña incongruencia. Los primeros pasos en el tratamiento de esta conjunción lograron sortear lo paradójico y a través de la escolarización de diversos contenidos, en especial procedimentales, se aseguró la presencia de la filosofía cerca de la infancia con algún sentido más o menos útil. Sin embargo la paradoja resistió a la domesticación. La filosofía, tan cara al pensamiento de occidente, con una historia densa de sentidos e interpretaciones, y la infancia tan novedosa y reciente en las preocupaciones del pensar, puestas una al lado de la otra se volvieron a colar por alguna grieta, desafiando a las más seductoras estrategias de domesticación y provocando nuevamente al pensar con la fuerza de lo paradojal. Este rescate del sentido se hará sobre el fondo de un texto roigniano y desde la posibilidad de visitar la “región media” caracterizada por Foucault (2008) en el prefacio a Las palabras y las cosas. El texto de Roig (1998) se intitula “Los métodos pedagógicos y su inserción en la vida”, en él aborda la problemática de los métodos en la enseñanza y propone la búsqueda en este ámbito de una relación entre teoría y praxis.
