Resumo: Due process is a judicial concept, which summarizes a set of judicial principles that ensure prompt, transparent, and impartial delivery of justice. This work shows how this figure has been understood and used from the procedural and substantive aspects and thus to demonstrate its republican importance in the institutions of Latin America.
