Resumo: This thesis is a research in African Philosophy and is sublet in the Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art line in the PostGraduate Program in Philosophy with a concentration area in Modern and Contemporary Philosophy, at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. It is, then, a philosophical investigation in the field of aesthetics and philosophy of art on the African continent, specifically for the Yoruba people, extending to their diaspora in Brazil. For this, it is based on the main theme which is the origin of the Yoruba work of art, seeking support in the traditional Yoruba philosophy that is expressed in the itans of origin of this culture and bibliography produced on the theme. Aiming to reflect on the influence of the feminine in the creation and experience of the beautiful in the work of art.

Para isso apoia-se no tema principal que é a origem da obra de arte iorubá, buscando suporte na filosofia tradicional iorubá que se expressa nos itans de origem dessa cultura e bibliografia produzida sobre o tema.
