This research starts from the questioning of professionals about the difficulties of daily work, which led me to search for updates on the process that constitutes the professional activity. It is questioned what the profession has been building on the production of the technical-operative dimension that can contribute to the daily intervention, taking the principles and values consistent with the Professional Political-Ethical Project. Therefore, we use as a database the most relevant collections in the selected period and 4 (four) scientific journals with QUALIS / CAPES A1 and A2 classification for Social Work. This research has been deep analyzed the substantives articles about practices plain and about the Political Ethical Project of the Brazilian Social Work. We have found many results, but it is possible highlight that the authors are highly academically qualified, in the universe of 281 authors, 138 are doctors, 27 post-doctored e 68 masters, resulting that 89% of the knowledge about the professional practices is produced in the universities. We point out that the connection and references about the practices plain, instruments use, and the Professional Political-Ethical Project, mostly (127 – 63%) are: 67 (33%) articles that has substantive connection with practices plain, instruments use, and the Professional Political-Ethical Project; 60 (30%) articles that has abstract connection with practices plain, instruments use, and the Professional Political-Ethical Project. The research remain that we need continuum write, as well, give some elementary to analyses and do practices in the critical perspective. Thus, social workers, who work daily to serve this class, need to appropriate productions/publications that make it allow strengthen the interests of the working class, and the formulation of concrete proposals to face the expressions of the social issue aiming at the materialization of the Professional Project.
