The present research offers a systemic vision, that is to say in a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspective, of the concept of Chance. Initially, the path is oriented to a philosophical investigation of the category and, subsequently, it is oriented to the exploration of some relationships that link randomness to psychotherapy and complexity. The research process takes place in a continuous plot between the epistemological, cultural, educational, pragmatic, reflexive and experiential levels. We therefore focus on some elements of the history of the concept of Chance, on some peculiarities of the semantics of the lemma Chance, as well as on some applications of the concept of Chance in the psychotherapeutic context. In this latter area, our research investigates the connections between Chance and change and between Chance and emergency of the new and innovative event: this is shown through the analysis of a case of psychotherapy both through the application of the analysis of the conversation and the Indefinite Triangulation, methodology linked to potentially infinite triangulations between speakers who, in a narrative circularity, create differences of differences.
