Resumo: The Belt And Road Initiative (BRI) is one of the biggest Chinese projects to date, underscoring that China is an important player on the international stage. Xinjiang Province is a strategic connection bridge with Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe as well as being a hub for initiative cooperation. From this, the main objective of this work is to analyze the importance of borders, trade and infrastructure of the BRI in the Xinjiang region integrated into the Chinese territorial unit for the expansion of the BRI corridors that pass through the region to Central Asia and Europe. , the present study presents what the Belt and Road Initiative is, how important Xinjiang is for the initiative to develop, the investments in infrastructure of the BRI corridors in the Xinjiang region and the existing trade in the corridors in operation. The theoretical basis used to analyze the bilateral relations in the BRI is the Theory of Chinese International Relations through the theory related to the concepts of relationality, relational power and relational governance.

A Província de Xinjiang é uma ponte de conexão estratégica com a Ásia Central, Oriente Médio e Europa além de ser um centro na cooperação da iniciativa. A partir disso, o objetivo principal desse trabalho é analisar a importância das fronteiras, comércio e infraestrutura da BRI na região de Xinjiang integrada à unidade territorial chinesa para a expansão dos corredores da BRI que passam na região para a Ásia Central e Europa. Sendo assim, o presente estudo apresenta o que é a Belt and Road Initiative, como Xinjiang é importante para que a iniciativa se desenvolva, os investimentos em infraestrutura dos corredores da BRI na região de Xinjiang e o comércio existente nos corredores em operação.
