Narrativas de resistência: o movimento social em rede #UERJResiste no Facebook

As proposed by Manuel Castells (2003), this dissertation considers social media as a public arena of important symbolic disputes that guide everyday life in the context of the Networked Society. The internet platforms are used by social movements as a cultural practice and as the media (LÉVY, 1999; HINE, 2004) to publicize their agendas, demands and mobilize society. In this research, an analysis of the performance of #UERJResiste was made as a networked social movement (CASTELLS, 2017) and also as a public arena (CEFAÏ, 2011; 2017a; 2017b) for the defense of the university, in the period in which Uerj had its activities suspended in 2017, during a state government crisis. This work was identified with a proposal for engaged observation by François Laplantine (2014), also bringing autoethnographics narratives proposed by Sarah Wall (2006), in which it highlights the relationship of the researcher with the object of study, his interlocutors and his biography. The research corpus was collected through the Facebook application Netvizz, in which were extracted from the #UERJResiste page. We checked 267 posts, from January to April 2017, 194 pictures and 73 videos. Also, we talked with an administrator of the page (FORSTER, 2018) to understand how was produced the content. An analysis was made by an ethnographic method (HINE, 2004; FRAGOSO, RECUERO and AMARAL, 2011; POLIVANOV, 2013; GOMES and LEITÃO; 2017) creating a situational analysis (CEFAÏ, 2011) and a narrative based on ethnographic description (LAPLANTINE, 2014). As a result of the analysis, a division of the posts was obtained into four categories entitled: media politics, discourses from resisting, educational shares and poetics of identity, highlighting in each analysis the power of visibility and bonding strategies (SODRÉ, 2006), of publicization and its characterization as an important public arena (CEFAÏ, 2017a). Faced with several privatization discourses of Public Education and attacks on its autonomy and its professionals, we understand #UERJResiste as the protagonist and important to be showed, reflected and discussed of the defense of the Brazilian Public University.
