Resumo: | In the last decades was remarkable the urban verticalization in Brazil, where even in medium-sized cities, it was observed the construction of numerous buildings with considerable height. Parallel to this process of verticalization of the constructions, the technological advance of the materials, mainly of the concrete and of the steel, allowed a significant reduction of the sections of the structural elements. This fact corroborated that the design of these buildings use increasingly flexible structural systems, which can promote the existence of low values of natural frequencies, causing excessive vibration problems. Another important factor is the effect of rigidity of sealing masonry and soil-structure interaction on the structural response of high-rise buildings, which are usually disregarded in the practice of structural calculation offices, and the calculation is based on the hypothesis that masonry are considered as distributed loads acting on the beams in indescribable supports. Therefore, this research aims to conduct an analysis of human comfort of buildings, when subjected to the nondeterministic action of the wind, through investigation of the dynamic response, in order to elaborate a more realistic design methodology, in view of the important effects, which are usually disregarded in current project practice. In this way, the dynamic structural behavior of the building in reinforced concrete, with a height of 48 meters, composed of 16 floors and dimensions of 15.0m by 14.2m is investigated. For this, numerical models with different characteristics were developed aiming a more realistic representation of the investigated building, through the use of the Finite Element Method (MEF), based on the use of the ANSYS program. The results obtained in this investigation point to quantitative differences in design relevant to the assessment of the structural response of the reinforced concrete building under study (values of natural frequencies, displacements and maximum accelerations), considering the effect of the masonry panels and influence of the soil-structure interaction on the numerical modeling of the system. |

Therefore, this research aims to conduct an analysis of human comfort of buildings, when subjected to the nondeterministic action of the wind, through investigation of the dynamic response, in order to elaborate a more realistic design methodology, in view of the important effects, which are usually disregarded in current project practice. Submitted by Boris Flegr (boris@uerj.br) on 2021-01-06T19:00:16Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Jean Carlos Mota Silva_BDTD1.pdf: 3913386 bytes, checksum: c63c0ed471b6b86950d2ec1682734a47 (MD5) Jean Carlos Mota Silva_BDTD2.pdf: 14812057 bytes, checksum: eab6ac540462c391474e85e8db832fb1 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2021-01-06T19:00:16Z (GMT).
