The emergence of ambient thematic on the national scene, with local repercussions, took to the creation of countless Conservation Units in the last decades, with the intention of preserve the territorial space and our environmental resources. However, to delimitate a conservation area, it's necessary to understand about the man environment relationship, since both are members of the same environmental system, and therefore, susceptible to the same functioning dynamics. In this context, this studies aims to conduct an geoecologica analysis, with emphasis on geomorphology, of the Parque Natural Municipal Montanhas de Teresópolis area. For this, will be analyzed some morphometric parameters of the hydrographic basins of the region in which the lies the park, as its surroundings. Located in the mountain region of the state of Rio de Janeiro, during the delimitation of the park area, was separated man from nature, disregarding the integration of both into one system. In this line of think, from a historical over view of man in relation to nature, we base our analysis in the perspectives of Geosystems and Geoecology of Landscape. Considering the system as a set of elements which are related with each other, and forming an integrity, the way in which this process occurred shows the consequences of disturbances in the balance of its components, when these suffer a mistakenly human interference. This imbalance in the environmental system in which the PNMMT is inserted became clear during the catastrophic events that occurred on the region in January of 2011, in which more than 390 people died only in Teresópolis. In this event, the environmental system of the park area was hit, both in protected areas and in urban areas, neglected by housing politics throughout the history of the city, and also in the mistaken way of delimitation of the park. By the morfometric analisys, will be possible to notice that the biggest part of de PNMMT lies in mountainous areas and, as there is a action together with this and other hydrologic factors, the fully area, as your damping zone, become geologically unstable. In this way, it is intended to suggest measures that seek both a more effective conservation of the remnants of the Mata Atlantica region, as less susceptible localizations to events such as the 2011, for the implementation of housing politics.
