The phenomenon of the homeless population is reaching hundreds of thousands of people and families in Brazil (CAMPOS, 2018 ;NATALINO, 2020). The slowdown in the economy, the reduction in public investment and, above all, the effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic (SARS-Cov-2) showed an apparent invisibility of the homeless population, considering that it is increasingly common to encounter this phenomenon in every corner of urban centers, especially in the large cities of the Southeast region, where 62% of people living on the streets are concentrated (DIAS, 2021). The work process aimed at promoting health in this social group takes place from a different perspective than usual in health services, where care agents outline an itinerary to enable access to health for these subjects. The Ministry of Health (MS) in 2012, through Ordinance 122, standardized the Street Office (CnaR) throughout the Brazilian territory, and this device is part of the Primary Care network, obeying the National Policy of Primary Care (2011). The objective of this study was to understand the care practices and strategies used by nurses in the street hospital, considering the context of Primary Care in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The research subjects were six (6) nurses who work with street workers in the city of Rio de Janeiro. This research is of a qualitative nature, through a semi-structured interview. Data analysis was based on the Thematic Analysis technique, which indicated three categories: I - Practices of care trained by the nurse in the attendant on the street; II- Factors that influence the care practices of nurses at the Street Office; III – Relationships between the Multiprofessional Team-Users – Other care support structures. Data collection took place from December 2022 to January 2023.
