Resumo: | This research aimed to map the meanings and experiences related to the fatherhood of men deprived of liberty. The research also unfolded on other themes, especially the following: the theoretical discussion on criminology and its interlocution with gender issues; the relationship of family members of prisoners with the prison institution; the advent of the coronavirus pandemic and the intensification of death policies that already operated in the Brazilian prison system. As an intervention-research based on Deleuzian concepts of happening, folding, difference, and repetition, encounters with prison guards and men deprived of liberty are narrated since before the formal beginning of this research, where the themes of fatherhood and family were addressed in certain moments. Then, visits made to a prison unit in the Gericinó complex, in Rio de Janeiro, during the master's course, were discussed, where an interview was conducted with a man deprived of liberty who has children. After the start of the pandemic, another online interview was carried out with an ex-prisoner, here called prison survivor, who already had children when he was incarcerated. The interviews, the crossings of the pandemic, and the gender dynamics present in the contact with prison officers, people deprived of liberty, and prison survivors are approached in this work from the game of affectations, intensities, and implications. Finally, we bring some of the paternity folds in the way it is experienced by the men interviewed in this research, where the care relationships, the meanings about fatherhood, and the effects of criminalization processes on this relationship are brokered. In addition to the institutional erasure of the parental condition of prison survivors and the stigmatization imposed on this population, this research seeks to map their ways of experiencing parenting and family relationships. |

In addition to the institutional erasure of the parental condition of prison survivors and the stigmatization imposed on this population, this research seeks to map their ways of experiencing parenting and family relationships. Submitted by Mariangela CEH/A (marianfig@gmail.com) on 2022-04-28T13:57:34Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertação - Lucas Gonzaga do Nascimento - 2021 - Completa.pdf: 1822288 bytes, checksum: 3cf5c011a1003371d92cbc09b0891742 (MD5) license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2022-04-28T13:57:34Z (GMT).
