This master's dissertation proposes an exercise in looking at the production of black and non-white artists in the emergence of contemporaneity that can, at the same time, honor the memory of those who came before and who were affected for the drama of recognition in their careers and contradicting the racist logic that delegitimizes such production, leading them to a systematic erasure in the history of art. Based on the reflections of several intellectuals, especially black intellectuals, who elaborate analyzes on the main problems and symptoms of ethnic-racial and gender relations, both in the field of art and in society as a whole, it expresses the desire to investigate ways and possibilities of articulation whose main purpose is to guarantee the circulation and reception of such a diverse production, rejecting categorizations loaded with prejudices and stereotypes.
