Saints, sinners, penitents, goddesses of an ancient world: fairies, witches, queens, princesses; victims and perpetrators - from servants of the devil to martyrs and vice versa, the woman s peregrinatio in medieval imagery is long and hard. The persona mulier in A Demanda do Santo Graal (XIII century) reflects the moralistic-didatical clerical ideology of the Central Middle Ages, without, however, failing to design stemmed characters from its root, what singular duality imbues of ambiguity that is brand not only paradoxical medieval concerning the women, but also of characters designed between two worlds, two different ideological poles, bifrontes fictional beings: located between the estates of a lost world and the dawn of forged identities by patriarchy. The main objective of our research is to investigate how the Medieval sociocultural mold, in which A Demanda do Santo Graal was shaped, relates to its substrate: the narratives emanating from the worldview inherent in the Celtic imagination. Divided between inheritances and identities, these personae are the focus of this study. We approach the corpus under a transdisciplinar cleavage, taking as pivotal pillars various theoretical visions, from Roger Sherman Loomis, Georges Duby, Michelle Perrot, Ruth Karras Mazzo, among others.
