A Marinha dos tenentes: um olhar sobre o movimento tenentista na perspectiva da força naval brasileira (1922 - 1924)

Resumo: This work aims to analyze the participation of the Brazilian Navy in the movement of Tenentism in the 1920s, given that these years, a time of great and intense transformation in Brazil, in several scenarios. The idea was to present the political content present in the Naval Force, explained subliminally in the journal of the corporation, the Magazine Maritime Brazilian, evidencing the naval military dissatisfaction with the current political system, culminating with the participation of segments of the Force in the movement of the lieutenants. We have thus shown that sectors of the Navy were not oblivious to the political turmoil that the country underwent during the period, unlike current thinking in historiography, both in the institutional narratives of the Force and in the Academy. In addition, we found that some of the ideas of Tenentism would be reflected in the Force during the early 1930s, when Getulio Vargas came to power, where through the mechanism of cooptation many of the tenentists leaders would reach the upper echelons of the government.

A ideia foi de apresentar o teor político presente na Força Naval, explicitado, de maneira subliminar, no periódico da corporação, a Revista Marítima Brasileira, evidenciando a insatisfação dos militares navais com o sistema político vigente, culminando com a participação de segmentos da Força no movimento dos tenentes. Demonstramos assim, que setores da Marinha não estavam alheios às conturbações políticas pelo qual o país passava no período, diferente do pensamento corrente na historiografia, tanto das narrativas institucionais da Força, quanto na Academia.
