A história ensinada no tempo presente: o lugar da África nos currículos de História e proposição de atividades

Since the imposition of compulsory teaching Africa history, of African culture and the contribution of Afro-descendant populations for the formation of Brazil, in basic education, with the approval of Law 10,639, in 2003, there was a significant investment in the production of another historical narrative, which is able to encompass the complexity of modern slavery. In this direction, it is intended with this work to analyze the theoretical part and the discourse that follows the theme of the Africa history and of the Afro-Brazilian culture has been addressed in the teaching of school history at the present time, focusing curricular texts produced in Rio de Janeiro in circulation in the state education network, and that serve as references for the state network of education and also to private schools, as well as didactic material approved by the National Program of textbook in Brazil distributed to students in the Middle School, two collections often used by teachers in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in dialog with the recent historiographical production and education focused on this subject. It presents itself as a final product a pedagogical activity aimed at classes in the first year of secondary school, aiming to complement, or extension of such content applicants in school curricula, with the purpose of deepening and enriching the students' knowledge in relation to the African-themed and the Afro-Brazilian culture.
