The present work deals with the articulation between politics and the training of the analyst and the discursive incidences of this encounter. If Lacan tells us that “The unconscious is politics” (Lacan, 1966-1967/2008, p.350) and, furthermore, if there is no formation of the analyst who escapes the encounter with the formations of the unconscious, it is a matter of investigating what relationships are established between politics and training. Thus, we seek to investigate the issues that arise in training from three different moments in the history of psychoanalysis, taking as a reference the elaboration of Freud's training and the establishment of the International Psychoanalytic Association, the situation of psychoanalysis in 1956 and the processes of conception of training in Brazil between the 50s and 70s. It also seeks to address the construction of the question of the epistemological place of psychoanalysis in order to resituate the questions that insist, such as the dual relationship, identification of the self, ideal of sufficiency and the which takes place on the margins of training and institutionalization. Therefore, we will go over the basics of the training structure. Finally, in a third moment, investigate the public dimension of training, the discursive incidences of transmission in psychoanalysis.
