The thesis entitled "Childhood in the Countryside: an analysis of the educational role of the struggle for land and its implications in the formation of the landless children of MST" was based on an investigation grounded on an analysis of the materialist and dialectic conception of history. Understanding the urgency of another project of society, of the production of another hegemony and considering that the children, within their social class, should have a political and historical role, thus contributing from their time/childhood. The study aimed to analyze the educational project for the Landless children, understanding that they are a collective, historical, political and social subject, whose consciousness is formed directly in territories demarcated by a historical conflict in the field of the struggle for land and agrarian reform in Brazil. It intended to investigate how the sociopolitical formation of and with the children of the MST has provided actions of resistance and emancipation in the education of children of and in the countryside. The principles that guided the research were based on the philosophy of social praxis, considering the dialectical relationship between theory and practice for the formative and educational work with children in the countryside, through the historical process of the struggle for land in MST and the holding of the 1st National Meeting of Landless Children. We consider the historical process and the educational praxis of the MST in the construction of schools in the camps and in the settlements, the mobilizations of the Landless children and the Ciranda Infantil (Children's popular school) as political instruments for the children and also as tools that provide a greater participation of women in the Movement. We conclude that the central highlights of the research are the formative and educational processes in the construction of the social and political history of childhood in the struggle for land in MST, in the period from 1984 to 2018, with the 1st National Meeting of the Landless Children as a landmark, understanding that the organizational processes of the MST in the struggle for land provide an active and effective participation of the Landless children in society.
