The theme assumes that the position claimed by the Workers Party in relation to its immediate predecessor, regarding his government experience between 2002 and 2010 under President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, (1) exists and (2) is false. The intention of this work is to provide a critique of the "PT way of governing", as will be argued throughout this work, based on the Marxian theory. I affirm that the criticism of the Lula government moves, ultimately, within the conceptions of the world (ontology) that produced not only this government, but describes and characterizes its neoliberal predecessor. Seeking to expose, through the examination of the positions that predominate in the debate about Lula's two terms, both the petismo as his opponents left share common assumptions to bourgeois conceptions. In this sense, the theory of Marx and the tradition of thought that evokes will be considered. Authors identified conceptually and politically committed to the critique of bourgeois society are vital to this work, especially in their differences. Similarly, some classic works of bourgeois thought will be the object of analysis, and (theoretical, political, journalistic, etc.). Documents that inform the debate about the Lula government. Thus, it is expected to build a conceptually more powerful critique on the topic and contribute to the refund of Marxian theory in contemporary political practice.
