Enunciações de masculinidade em narrativas de jovens atletas de voleibol: leituras em horizonte queer

Resumo: Recognizing that volleyball has proved to be the sport in which, with an evident recurrence, questions are raised about the more normalizing meanings of the masculine, both for the performances of gender and for the visibility of the homosexual orientation of its athletes, who were protagonists of important processes of rupture with the domain of heteronormativity in sports contexts, the focus of this research is developed in this sport. Thus, the present thesis investigated and questioned the processes of masculinity significance, among young adolescent volleyball players and students of basic education, who identified themselves gay and bisexual, from the production and discussion of narratives that investigated this theme with respect to the different spaces-times of sport and school. Initially, a review of the academic production in the field of studies on men and masculinities in the areas of Education and Physical Education, produced through publications and periodicals of the last decade (2007-2016) was elaborated; was built on the thesis in dialogue with studies related to fields of research. The theories developed by Jacques Derrida and Judith Butler were ordered, with emphasis on the notions of performativity of language and performativity of the genre, to discuss the category of masculinity, and was further investigated, the approach with the queer perspective, proposing the search operators normalizing masculinity and queer masculinity, for the interpretation of the narratives produced by the research. The young teens in their reports expressed the imposition of normalizing masculinity as a space-time performance of volleyball, and especially of the school, which holds them as abject and precarious bodies. However, the destabilization of these normalizing senses was also frequent, particularly in volleyball space-time, when young adolescents, in clubs where they represented themselves as athletes, resisted the demand for normalizing masculinity, through subversive utterances and genre parodies, similar to the meaning of masculinity, which was termed as, launched into queer horizon. The narratives also presented the category of masculinity crossed by markers of difference, such as: sexual orientation, race; social class; age; deficiency; and religion, ordering the reflections in the intersectional investigation, on the serious precariousness of the young adolescents, in the space-time of the volleyball and in the school, besides contributing to disassemble the essentialisms, generally located in the identifications of the subjects. The desire for a queer horizon for masculinity, in contemporaneity, expresses an ideal that is intended to reach, enhancing to the infinite its genre performances, observing the radical rupture of the oppressions and inequalities that, the stabilizations of identity promote on the senses of the masculine and of "be a man"

Deste modo, buscou-se, nesta tese, problematizar os processos de significação da masculinidade entre jovens adolescentes atletas de voleibol e estudantes da educação básica, que se identificavam como gays e bissexuais, a partir da produção e discussão de narrativas que abordassem essa temática relativamente aos diferentes espaços-tempos do esporte e da escola. Como etapa inicial, realizou-se revisão da produção acadêmica do campo de estudos sobre homens e masculinidades, nas áreas de Educação e Educação Física, em publicações de periódicos da última década (2007-2016); buscando assim, o diálogo da tese com as pesquisas dos referidos campos de estudos. Foram mobilizadas as teorizações desenvolvidas por Jacques Derrida e Judith Butler, com destaque para as noções de performatividade da linguagem e performatividade de gênero, para discutir a categoria masculinidade, e procurou-se, ainda, a aproximação com a perspectiva queer, propondo os operadores de pesquisa masculinidade normalizadora e masculinidade queer para a interpretação das narrativas produzidas pela pesquisa. Os jovens adolescentes, em seus relatos, enunciaram a imposição da masculinidade normalizadora como performance nos espaços-tempos do voleibol e, principalmente, da escola, que os apreendia como corpos abjetos e precários. Entretanto, também foram frequentes as desestabilizações destes sentidos normalizadores, em particular no espaço-tempo do voleibol, quando os jovens adolescentes, nos clubes em que se constituíam como atletas, resistiam à exigência da masculinidade normalizadora por meio de enunciações subversivas e paródias de gênero, aproximando-se de uma significação da masculinidade que denominou-se como lançada em horizonte queer. As narrativas também apresentaram a categoria masculinidade atravessada por marcadores da diferença, como: orientação sexual; raça; classe social; idade; deficiência; e religião, mobilizando reflexões em abordagem interseccional sobre o agravamento da condição de precariedade destes jovens adolescentes nos espaços-tempos do voleibol e da escola, além de contribuírem para desmontar os essencialismos, usualmente postos nas identificações dos sujeitos.
