This thesis aims to propose a reading of the poetic work of Moacyr Felix, taking premised that, in the poetic writing, a temporal overflow is present, both in relation to subjective temporality and historicity. In other words, one begins with the premise that the poet "context" cannot be deduced from a predetermined structure, but collected from confluences, dialectically mediated between a particular and a totality, which have common characteristics: unfurnishing and fragmentation. In this way, taking the poetry (or, the poetic work) as object, and according to indications coming from the Critical Theory of Society and from "an intellectual or cultural history" that is critical and dialogical , it seeks to describe some connections between Moacyr Felix's poetry and a Critique (self-criticism) of modernity where the relation, that gives title to this thesis, between "poetry and Hope(lessness)". Both the poet and his work are located in the "totality" (fragmented or damaged) of modernity and modern lyric poetry, in an attempt not to reveal "the meaning" of poetic work, but to detect, in their internal conflicts, the presence of traits that point to remitters and receivers that are distinct, multiple and sometimes indecipherable. In this way, all of it fragmented and discontinuous, the research deals more directly with three questions, which the poet called "irresponsible sphinxes": that of utopia, that of temporality and that of the subject (or of the "subjectivity"). Forward, the research is directed to deal more specifically with the relations between language, affectivity and politics, taking the Félix´s poetry as support of the investigation of temporal dimensions on the scene (and under-the-scene) with poetry, utopia and affectivity
