The process of outsourcing of the economy, which clearly is present since the beginnings of the city of Rio de Janeiro, fostered profound changes in the internal organization of the city, which involves new uses of urban space and creates new processes in the city, especially in our study area, the neighborhood of Botafogo. The globalization process caused significant changes in the global economy. The city therefore fall within the spaces of globalization and thus undergoes changes that will be reflected in its urban structure. Thus, the service sector is driven by strengthening, then the process of outsourcing. In this case, it becomes apparent the relationship between urbanization tertiary activities. It is understood, therefore, the emergence of a new model of urbanization, coupled with the presence of these tertiary activities, which will be of paramount importance for the establishment of new centers in the inner space of the city, as is the case with Botafogo. In this context, the spaces of culture and leisure are of fundamental importance, since they attract flows of consumers who take advantage of the infrastructure provided by the State, especially in transport, through the subway and numerous bus lines that serve the neighborhood. The spaces for culture and leisure have a great importance in the renewal of Botafogo, once the district has a large concentration of such equipment, which contribute to an increased movement of people in your inner space. Shows two areas of concentration of these spaces in Botafogo, which are located at the ends and adjacent to the main road axis of the neighborhood, where we also find a large concentration of specialized services. So we can say that the sphere of consumption, these spaces of culture and leisure arise as a result of public and private actions. Spaces for culture and leisure promote a new dynamic to Botafogo and generate impacts in the urban economy of Rio de Janeiro. Are responsible for the emergence of a new center within the city and thus contribute to the restructuring of the town of Rio de Janeiro.
