Resumo: In recent decades, a significant advance in different areas of knowledge, namely associated to Civil Engineering, has enabled the development and execution of innovative and challenging structural projects, contemplating dare solutions in order to attend the architectural design, based on economic, stability and safety criteria. This way, these factors has contributed to the conception and project of increasingly lighter and slender structures, which can generate worrying levels regarding the user’s human comfort. Therefore, this research work aims to develop the vibration analysis and assess the human comfort of steel-concrete composite floors subjected to rhythmic human dynamic loads. According to this context, in order to represent the people dynamic actions practicing rhythmic human activities, traditional mathematical formulations were used to represent dynamic loads (“only-force” models); and, also, considering the use of biodynamic systems, represented by “mass-spring-damper” systems with one degree of freedom (S1GL), having in mind the incorporation of the dynamic characteristics of the people. The investigated structural model represents a typical interior floor of a commercial building and corresponds to a steel-concrete composite floor with dimensions of 40m x 40m and total area of 1,600m². The structure numerical modelling was developed based on the use of the finite element program ANSYS. Initially, through modal analysis (eigenvalues and eigenvectors), it was verified that the floor fundamental frequency is in a range close to the harmonics of the human excitation frequency, indicating a tendency of excessive vibration and human discomfort. Then, based on the floor dynamic behavior assessment in forced vibration, it was verified that the “only-force” loading models have produced significant quantitative increases on the system response (displacements and accelerations), when compared to the biodynamic models. On the other hand, it is worth mentioning that the dynamic human actions modelling, through the use of biodynamic systems, resulted in important attenuations on the floor dynamic response, leading to more realistic results. Finally, it is noteworthy that the results found throughout this investigation indicate that the analysed steel-concrete composite floor dynamic response violated the design criteria related to human comfort for certain loading situations.

Submitted by Julia CTC/B (julia.vieira@uerj.br) on 2022-10-10T13:49:58Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertação - Elisângela Arêas Richter dos Santos - 2022 - Completo.pdf: 7750026 bytes, checksum: 078e2448273ed10696592be81afe4489 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2022-10-10T13:49:58Z (GMT).
