Resumo: This master thesis thematizes the relationship between poetic production and feminism in contemporary zines, focusing on literary zines created by Brazilian female zinesters in the second decade of the 21st century. Within this theme, the main purpose is to investigate the literary and feminist practices exercised by the ‘Nós, as poetas!’ collective in the production of literary zines, process in which steps we propose to analyze as “zine practices”. Complementarily, there is a presentation of a synthesis of the collective’s journey since its first formation in 2016, in Rio de Janeiro, considering the collective’s political and artistic activities in the social context in which it is located. As theoretical and methodological tools, the study relies on recent Brazilian research on zines and its alternative culture; on theories of Black Feminist thought, especially regarding at the concept of intersectionality, based on Carla Akotirene, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Patricia Hill Collins and Sirma Bilge’s works; and on semi-structured interviews with ‘Nós, as poetas!’s members. With these tools, we develop a transdisciplinary study about the ways and means by which the collective produces its independent publications, and we analyze selected pages from three zines released between 2016 and 2020, in order to identify the main effects of their poetic and feminist texts’ inscription on their ephemeral supports. In this way, we hope to understand the main poetic and political procedures by which the ‘Nós, as poetas!’ collective has been making art and poetry in the current Brazilian society: both as aesthetic expressions of feminist and intersectional practices and as publications that destabilize the discriminatory structures of the Brazilian literary system.

Submitted by Eliane CEH/B (liliprata2000@gmail.com) on 2023-03-08T12:57:41Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertação - Juliana Gama de Brito Assumpcao - 2023 - Completa.pdf: 10709288 bytes, checksum: 7ded582feec7cb1644589316ce031b5d (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2023-03-08T12:57:41Z (GMT).
