The objective of this study is to analyze the urban park of Madureira, built in 2012 and still in expansion, and how this fixed relates to other urban parks in the city of Rio de Janeiro, as well as the impact caused by the construction of the same in users / consumers of the space. The used methodology consisted of data collection through field research, consultation materials and statistical data provided by the state, in addition to conducting interviews and surveys. We strove to understand how the implementation of this device in the Rio de Janeiro suburb relates to the flow of people in relation to leisure and entertainment, along with the effects that occur in the real estate market in the districts directly and indirectly affected by such building, asking: who would be the agents and factors responsible for the choice of Madureira district for the implementation of this fixed? The study points out that the implementation of Madureira Park obeys interests of different actors, especially the state and private capital, representing an act with electoral and political inclination, that contemplates a public in need of policies for leisure and entertainment, changing patterns of displacement of this order in the city of Rio de Janeiro, resulting in changes not only in that sector, but also in the Carioca city in general.
