Resumo: | Co-pyrolysis is a promising method to minimize the environmental impact caused by excess polymer debris. This study aims to evaluate the co-pyrolysis of polyolefin plastics waste arising shales of the Paraná basin, varying types of plastics in the reaction medium. Some chemical characterizations were carried out in the shales, to check its oil production potential. By ATG and COT it was observed that only AM03 sample has about 9% of degradation related to the organic material and 11% of organic carbon. The extraction by Soxhlet produced crude oils, and the content found on the AM03 sample is considered high productive potential, at around 8%. The pyrolysis procedure showed that the AM01 and AM03 samples showed higher potential for generation of oil and through evaluation by capillary HRGC-MS, it was observed that pyrolysis promotes the release of considerable amounts of lighter hydrocarbons, i.e., those with Time lower retention than 50 minutes, when compared to crude extracts. Also characterizations were done by NMR and the crude pyrolytic, which results percentage up to 80% paraffins, and olefins and aromatics. The AM03 sample achieved the best results of characterization of shales and so was copirolisada in the ratio 9:1 with plastic. The evaluation of co-pyrolysis by capillary HRGC-MS indicated that it is possible to increase the generation of liquid fraction and hydrocarbons in the diesel fraction range. Based on the results of the assessment can conclude that co-pyrolysis of polyolefins with shales increases the production of pyrolytic oil and the amount of hydrocarbons in the diesel range |

Based on the results of the assessment can conclude that co-pyrolysis of polyolefins with shales increases the production of pyrolytic oil and the amount of hydrocarbons in the diesel rangeA co-pirólise é um método promissor para minimizar o impacto ambiental gerado pelo excesso de resíduos poliméricos.
