Resumo: This Dissertation contains analyzes about the support reaction of the blocks in contact with the geogrids. It is verified that there is a mobilization of shear forces and that they influence the disruption of geosynthetics. It was proposed to study, for the geogrids considered in the analysis, the displacements, efforts and deformations that act on it. Through computer modeling, it was simulated situations to evaluate which are critical and, therefore, need the attention of geotechnical engineers. Although the verifications presented do not include the overall analysis of the structure, they provide a knowledge of the structural behavior of geosynthetics when subjected to certain loads that simulate the equipment used to build a landfill. The study attends to the reader the need to evaluate the performance of cutting efforts, because in the literature this effort is little commented and often disregarded for the purpose of calculation and verification. It was simulated, taking as reference the parameters, the case of the works of Vila do Pan, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the use of Rocscience software, some cases were reproduced and analyzed. After starting the analysis with this standard example, it was necessary to vary some sizing parameters to better evaluate the behavior of the geogrid. Initially, the plate tool was used to aid the calculation of geosynthetic displacement. Then, the intensity, dimensions and position of this overload were varied, as well as the physical progress of the landfill. In total, 6 cases were simulated to evaluate the geosynthetic behavior and especially the shear stress. After dimensioning all these cases, some analyzes were made and the critical moments were highlighted, where the highest values of traction, repression and the performance of the shear forces in the first stages of landfill placement were observed. It was verified that there is an increase of the shear forces exactly in the regions where the geosynthetic is common to present rupture.

Verifica-se que há mobilização de esforços cortantes e que esses influenciam no rompimento dos geossintéticos. Se propôs a estudar, para as geogrelhas consideradas nas análises, os deslocamentos, esforços e deformações que atuam sobre elas. Através de modelagem computacional, foram simuladas situações para avaliar quais são críticas e, portanto, carecem de atenção dos engenheiros geotécnicos. Apesar das verificações apresentadas não contemplarem a análise global da estrutura, essas propiciam um conhecimento do comportamento estrutural dos geossintéticos quando submetidos a determinados carregamentos que simulam os equipamentos utilizados para construção de um aterro. O estudo atenta ao leitor a necessidade de avaliar a atuação dos esforços cortantes pois, na literatura, esse esforço é pouco comentado e muitas vezes desconsiderado para efeito de cálculo e verificação. Foi simulado um caso, tomando como referência os parâmetros, das obras da Vila do Pan, na Barra da Tijuca, no Rio de Janeiro. Através do uso do software RS2 da Rocscience, alguns casos foram reproduzidos e analisados. Após iniciar as análises, com esse exemplo padrão, variaram-se alguns parâmetros do dimensionamento para avaliar melhor e observar o comportamento da geogrelha. Inicialmente, utilizaram-se elementos de placa para auxiliar na estimativa dos deslocamentos transversais ao geossintético. Em seguida, variaram-se a intensidade, as dimensões e a posição da sobrecarga. Observou-se, também, o avanço físico do aterro. No total, foram simulados 6 casos para avaliar o comportamento do geossintético e, principalmente, do esforço cortante. Foram verificados os pontos onde ocorriam os maiores valores de tração, recalque e esforços cortantes nas primeiras etapas de colocação do aterro.
