The Hemotherapy is a complex specialty and depends on multidisciplinary team with professional skill. The professional and human skills are understood as simultaneous combinations of knowledge, abilities and attitudes, and are recognized by the performance of employer. When skills are inserted to behavior, results and achievements, they improve the organization and the individuals. Last years, the management of people has been more valorized leading to the recognition of the employers as great differential for organization, creating a direct impact on cost and quality. The aim of this project was to identify the profile of the formation, capacity and skills acquired by the technician of the Technical School that function in Service of Hemotherapy and in the Transfusional Unit of INCA. For this, 32 professional technicians crowded as the Hematology Service responded to a questionnaire that evaluated the profile of their training and which they acquired their skills in the area of Hematology. This research has shown that the majority of the technicians of the Technical School who work in Hematology Service and Transfusion Units of the INCA were laboratory or nursing technicians. In addition, 94% of these professionals did not have a Hematology discipline in their curriculum. The results also demonstrated that some technicians are graduated at university, but they did not have also the Hemotherapy discipline. These observations permit to identify a gap during the formation of technicians as in Technical School as in University in the Health Area. The absence of this discipline leaded to the necessity for more time for professional training. Based on results of this research, the inclusion of the Hemotherapy discipline in curriculum of these curses could provide. In addition to provide practical and theoretical knowledge facilitating the capacity and improving skills related to blood cycle since the reception of blood donor until patients who depend on transfusional therapy.
