Resumo: | This study aimed to explore the constitutive elements of the training routes developed in rural internship experiences in the Amazon, from the contact with reality and local culture, nothing possible contributions to the learning of ethical and political values consistent with the notion of responsibility. This is a qualitative study with phenomenological assumptions and analysis based on the narratives of interviewees, primarily students who recently had the experience of rural internship and teachers involved with the program. For their peculiarities, the experiments were chosen from the State University of Amazonas and Pará State University - Campus Santarém. Were also conducted focus groups with students and direct and participant observation of the action of students in selected municipalities. We defined three categories in which the narratives were concentrated: World; Knowledge and Practices; and Responsibility. These were analyzed in terms of paradigm changes relevant to each, and were therefore designated as boundaries. When starting the rural internship, students feel in another world, a reality that did not know, but they face it and are amazed. This awareness seems to create a sense of belonging to the region, a possible reconciliation with the world, in narrative expressions that evoke the sense of Arendt s amor mundi. From this assessment process, reflections turned to the possibility of living this situation as a doctor, a possible way to the countryside. And also the reaffirmation of hope that Arendt's idea of world renewal brings us, with the advent of birth and the presentation of the new world through education. During the internship, students come into contact with the traditional knowledge and practices of the forest. At this meeting they realize the importance of midwives and catchers, as well as the use of medicinal plants and other local practices. This meeting was seen most often in a positive manner, emphasizing respect and openness to learning that must be present in relationships, in a more conciliatory tendency in the dialogue between biomedicine and traditional medicine. The narratives about the meeting could be interpreted as an expression of human plurality, and are also stimulated by some students. At the end of the rural internship, students consider it more than an academic probation, a lifetime experience. They recognize the importance of becoming more humble, to learn to listen better, to have more flexibility and patience. These are virtues that seem to have meaning for medicine in the countryside setting. We built a judgment about medical practice, based both on perception of the meaning of their presence there for that population, as in the good and bad examples with which they could socialize. Thus emerged the personal responsibility, in choosing with whom we want to live in thought. Because they belong to the collective public university, they highlight the importance and responsibility to act in the countryside, and may develop a special commitment to this population in a sense of collective responsibility. |

Submitted by Boris Flegr (boris@uerj.br) on 2020-08-02T16:52:54Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Rodrigo Pinheiro Silveira - tese.pdf: 4017367 bytes, checksum: 2aea8e2186c1039597c5675404dd8538 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2020-08-02T16:52:55Z (GMT).
