Violência nas relações afetivas íntimas de adolescentes em situação de acolhimento institucional: perspectiva dos profissionais cuidadores

Adolescence is a singular period of life in which adolescents are led to develop skills related to dealing with changes that are natural during the imminence of maturity. However, they are not exempt from experiencing episodes of family neglect. In the midst of these events, there are the care professionals who work at the shelter unit and who play a fundamental role in the adaptation process of these young people. So, the present research has as general objective: to analyze the violence in the intimate affective relations of adolescents in shelter from the perspective of professionals of the unit and by specific objectives: to identify the professionals' perceptions about the violence in the affective relations of adolescents in a situation of reception and to analyze strategies / actions of care that can prevent or intervene with the confrontation of the violence in the intimate affective relations of adolescents. Qualitative research, carried out with 20 professionals from the shelter units of the city of Rio de Janeiro, through semi-structured interviews, analyzed in the perspective of Bardin. In the results, three categories emerged: 1) Professionals 'perspective on daily life in the adolescent care unit - which says about the professionals' perception about the adolescents and about the vulnerability in which they are inserted, making connections with the relationships established by adolescents, as well as perception of these professionals about their practice with the adolescents in the shelter situation; 2) Perception of caregivers of shelters about violence in the affective relationships among adolescents in the unit - explores the way in which professionals identify, dialogue and perceive violence in intimate affective relationships among adolescents in the unit; and 3) Strategies to prevent violence in intimate relationships that refers to dialogue as a strategy to prevent violence in intimate relationships among adolescents and to point out actions that may help in this regard. Conclusion: Although the professionals have precarious training, they are still considered by the young people as a reference for meeting their needs. However, through dialogue, these professionals manage to circumvent situations of physical, verbal and moral violence, which are very frequent in affective relations among adolescents. So that, professionals use their life experiences with adolescents who arrive at the shelter units, marked by cases of aggression, sexual abuse, affective abandonment by the family, psychic disorders, among others. Therefore, we verified that it is essential to reflect on strategies / actions pointed out by these professionals that intervene in the violence process, as well as the insertion of the nurse practitioner, who can influence the minimization of these processes of social vulnerability.
