Resumo: The present thesis intends to discuss the relationship between the concepts of truth, finitude and place in hermeneutical thinking. It defends that there is a fundamental corequisition between them; in this sense, the definition of hermeneutics should arise from the internal relationship between those concepts. This research studies the work of the main authors of hermeneutical tradition like Schleiermacher, Dilthey, Gadamer, and, mainly, Nietzsche and Heidegger. The thesis has three parts: the first one discusses the concept of truth and shows how philosophy brings to light some fundamental aspects on the way that hermeneutics deals with the truth. The second questions whether hermeneutics carries out a radicalization of the critical project through its inquiry about finitude. Finally, the third investigates how the concept of place helps us to think about the main problems of hermeneutical tradition, proposing a topological hermeneutics that aims to understand the place where we belong to and from where we are.

Ela defende que existe uma correquisição fundamental entre eles. Neste sentido, a própria definição de hermenêutica deve surgir a partir da explicitação da relação interna entre tais conceitos. Para levar a cabo tal empreitada, o trabalho se debruça sobre a obra dos principais representantes da tradição hermenêutica como Schleiermacher, Dilthey, Gadamer, e, sobretudo, Nietzsche e Heidegger. A tese é composta por três partes: a primeira discute o conceito de verdade e revela em que medida a filosofia evidencia um aspecto fundamental da maneira como a hermenêutica lida com a verdade. A segunda questiona de que modo a hermenêutica pode ser compreendida como uma radicalização do projeto crítico e de seu questionamento sobre a finitude.
