The present research analyses the assistance to the parturition in Rio de Janeiro, basedon, the discourse of child birth at the private at tendance to the pregnant women of the city. As sources of survey, semi-structurated interviews were done with professionals who are involved in the assistance to the childbirth in the private sphere and Field observations with groups of pregnants in the South and North regions of the city, from August to December, 2017. The focus of the article is the comprehension of the speech of normal child birth as a category wich can be apprehended under the point of reproductive rights and the questions wich encampass gender discussion, class and race, considering the Access to the serights. The research was carried out in the city of Rio de Janeiro and tookin to account the social differences between Access to child birth care for pregnant women in the North Zone of the city and the South Zone, added to this, data on the assistance it self.
