This thesis has as its starting point the identification, redemption and reconstruction of a research program outlined by Karl-Otto Apel peripherally to the intermediate fraction of his thinking, to which we will refer as a positively oriented phenomenology of the being-in-the-world. Originating in a phenomenological reading linking to the project of the second L. Wittgenstein to the analysis of the being-there of the first M. Heidegger, the main thread of Apel's program is the resumption and enhancement of what he calls, in accordance with the vocabulary of Heidegger, a criticism of the ontology of pre-handedness (Vorhandenheitsontologie). From the formulation by Apel of the criticism of the ontology of pre-handedness , later studied more deeply and recomposed as a criticism of pre-handedness , we will go on to call for and carry out the initial design of a research agenda which for the purpose of confrontation of issues relevant to the foundation and scientific validation of sociology, will unfold into three distinct research plans: the problem of the foundation, the scientifically relevant problem of (empirical) truth, and the problem of sociology as an empirical science.
